Sibir S7 Airlines resumed regular flights from Moscow to Batumi International Airport

 

On May 31, 2012, after a 3 year interval, S7 Airlines resumed regular flights from Moscow to Batumi International Airport. The plane arrived at 14:55 pm with 106 passengers on the board. Every Thursday regular flights from Moscow’s Domodedovo airport will be performed by A 319 type aircraft and the price of the round trip will start from 370 Euro.
S7 Airlines started its service in Georgia since 2003, performing regular flights from Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports. In 2008 air company temporarily canceled the flights. 
 “We are happy to welcome air company S7’s renewed flight from Moscow to Batumi International Airport, after a 3 year pause. We believe, that following the cancellation of visa regime by the government of Georgia the number of flights and tourists arriving from Russia in Batumi will considerably rise.”- stated Batumi International Airport’s manager Mert Kandiyeli.
 To celebrate the restoration of Sibir S7 Airlines regular flights to Batumi, an event was held by TAV Georgia.  Batumi Airport’s manager Mert Kandiyeli hosted S7’s general representative in South-East Europe and South-East Asia – Kiril Endoguri, the representative of air company in Georgia Zurab Gudavadze and other honorable guests.
During the summer, with the beginning of the active tourism season, the significant rise of flights is expected in Batumi International Airport.  Together with S7 Airlines, air companies: ATA Airlines, Pegasus, Armavia and OLT Express are planning to perform flights to Batumi during the summer.
